Finally I'm finishing the coaming around the cockpit. This addition serves two purposes– first, to deflect water and second, it's an anchoring point for the cockpit dodger and awnings. It's all in the details. The winches are not mounted, just placeholding.

I also built coamings around each deck hatch opening to deflect any water on deck. The three openings in the foreground are over the galley and the aft port berth.

The only primer left to do is this cabintop deck!

The final prime coat goes on the decks and cockpit before the finish coat of LPU. The weather had been very cooperative, remaining mild, but it is showing signs of heating up. Not good for the spray job coming up.

Just a little more sanding to go (I wish!)...

Notice the portlight opening we decided to cut into the bulkhead next to the forward companionway. When we have the doors closed, I think we'll be glad to be able to open this little port for air.
