This is a big milestone... the decks are all down!

The forward decks are finished but not yet 'glassed. We are pleased with the low profile of the forward cabin top and are quite happy with the additional headroom in the master stateroom. We were able to raise the sole too, which made the standing room available wider.

While the decks are underway, I'm also finishing the wings on the underside. I did the float-coat, priming and sanding while the sheets of marine pkywood were horizontal. When they were attached to the underside of the wings, I had to do the joints and final fairing of the joints. This saved my back quite a bit of discomfort.

This overview makes Rikki-tikki-tavi look very large– and the boat does fill up the barn rather well. The rectangular box sitting on deck on the left of the photo is one of the 18-gallon water tanks.
Bow and forehead now taped, the float-coat of epoxy is next. I've also taped the joints under the wings.
