Here I'm doing the finish painting on several parts just prior to their installation. The mast step pad, bow roller base, pedestal base and base pads for the centerboard control blocks. As with all the LPU finish painting, the surface is sealed with two coats of epoxy, sanded, then primed with two coats of Interlux 404/414, sanded, then two coats of color and one coat of clear finish. It takes a lot of steps but the finish should hold up for a very long time.

You can see all our running rigging ready for installation hanging out of the box behind me. That's the second empty barrel of System Three Epoxy. I'm now buying smaller quantities.

CopperPoxy has been applied to that teeny bit of hull that may touch the water on each ama.

The cockpit floor is installed finally! It was the last thing to get done before painting. Here I am hand painting the centerboard trunk interior where I couldn't spray.
